About the role

This role forms part of the Marketing and Sales team, to drive the highest standards of supporter experience management across BirdLife Australia’s marketing activities. The coordinator will define, develop, and implement new and existing supporter recruitment/acquisition campaigns and events throughout the calendar year. A key focus of the role is developing BirdLife Australia’s highly successful annual Aussie Bird Count (ABC), BirdLife’s current flagship event.

To be successful in this role, you will need a marketing or promotional event management qualification and/or experience working in an engagement, direct marketing or promotional campaign role. Knowledge and experience of audience, reach, personas, lifetime journeys and appropriate engagement strategies is essential. Experience in planning, implementing and evaluating marketing events and/or campaigns will be highly valued, as will demonstrated project management skills. Experience or exposure to email marketing automation tools is highly desirable. The position description sets out the selection criteria relevant to this role.

What you need to know
This is an ongoing, part-time position (0.8 FTE). Please note, that this is a hybrid position working in a home-based environment and in the national office in Carlton, Victoria.
